Hi! I'm Anna. Those that know me, know I am NOT a natural runner... But in July I will be running my first 10k. Please read below to find out why I am undertaking this (for me) MAMMOTH challenge!!! Thanks! More ...

Hello! I am Anna and those that know me, know I am not a natural runner, but in July I will run my first 10k race. I have signed up to do The British 10k London Run. (Click for info!)

WHY? You may be asking... Well let me tell you!

I will be running for Alex. I have only met Alex a couple of times. He is Jack's cousin, Lucy's partner. Despite not knowing him very well, he has inspired me by his courage and positivity.

Before Christmas last year Alex was rushed to hospital and diagnosed with a blood infection called Group A streptococcus, a normally harmless bacteria that the human body should filter out but in Alex’s case developed into septicaemia and toxic shock syndrome. Alex's major organs began to shut down and he was put into an induced coma. Alex pulled through, however as a result he lost both legs as well as his left arm just above his elbow.

Alex, Lucy and their son are beginning to plan for the future. These donations will help towards Alex's rehabilitation as well as supporting the Salisbury hospital.

So that's why I'm doing it! For me, this is going to be a big challenge! I am not a natural runner so I need all the support I can get to spur me on! Please donate so that I can contribute towards Alex's rehabilitation.

Thanks my lovelies! :-) x
