After a successful 2013 New York City Marathon in support of the Royal Engineers Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) (Bomb Disposal) Branch Charity, Paula will be donning her running shoes and extending her marathon campaign in the 2014 New York Marathon on 2nd November 2014 to continue to raise money and much needed support for the charity.  Thank you so much to everyone for their support so far and continued support.

The EOD Branch Charity has the sole aim of supporting troops injured whilst serving in bomb disposal to/by:
*Support family members of troops killed in action,
*Provide financial support to those members who have fallen on hard times, and
*Attend funerals of ex Bomb Disposal Operators, regardless of rank or social standing, to show respect in remembrance of the fallen.

The Royal Engineers Association was formed under the conditions of a Deed of Declaration of Trust by amalgamation of the original Royal Engineers Association and the Royal Engineers Benevolent Fund Ltd on 19th November 1968. The Association’s Aims are to:
Promote and support the Corps among members of the Association by:
* fostering esprit de corps and a spirit of comradeship and service,
* maintaining an awareness of Corps traditions, and
* acting as a link between serving and retired members of the Corps
*Provide financial & other assistance to serving & former members of the Corps, their wives, widows & dependents in need through poverty
*Make grants, within Association guidelines, to the Army
