While showing a house in Shirley I found a litter of feral kittens in the ivy in a man's front yard. The elderly gentleman's wife is between nursing homes and the hospital, and he spends much of his time with her. He doesn't have the time or money to get the kittens out of the cold.
The other night we were able to catch the smallest kitten, bathe him and get him inside. His name is Ziggy and he is so well behaved! He loved his bath (if you can believe that) and barely makes a peep.
The homeowner is trying to help us catch the rest of the 10+ cats he feeds at his house so a group can come in and fix them. Unfortunately, one of the cats is pregnant again. Hopefully we can catch the momma cat before she gives birth so we can save her kittens. This is what we need help with...
When they are born and we get them safe, we need to get these kittens to the vet so I'm reaching out to my friends to chip in! Initial Vet visit will be about $35 per kitten (thanks to Kent Animal Shelter).
Also, If anyone wants to adopt these little fur balls, email me at GadaboutGang@gmail.com.
No amount is too small- please help me spread the word!
