For those of you that don't know, my nephew Taylor was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia on May 26th. His life was abruptly put on hold, college, baseball, everything so that he could battle cancer. Taylor, as most of you already know has a passion for family, friends, and baseball. He is the strongest and most giving person I've ever met. He spent the last 6 weeks at the Mayo Clinic where he underwent countless chemo treatments and a pethora of painful and stressful days and nights battling to kill this disease. He won the first battle, his numbers are in the green and he was able to return home to his family last Wednesday. Now for the unbelievable part; The families insurance considers the treatments he received, that worked, as experimental and therefor not covered. The insurance company is also recomending a different direction than the experts at the Mayo Clinic are recomending. The family and Taylor will fight this but there are significant bills stacking up which is why I am posting this plea to everyone. Help with what you can, everything provided will go a long way to help Taylor get the treatment he needs and deserves to get and stay strong.
