Re-i gniting the Sacred Power of Creation:

Essential Knowledges for Transformative Action

April 22-24th, 2016, Trent University

This conference, the first of its kind in North America, will focus on bringing together Indigenous teachings and Traditional Knowledge with a specific focus on addressing complex environmental challenges.  Convening on Earth Day, Re-igniting the Sacred Power of Creation will be lead by four powerful female leaders from Indigenous Nations around the world who will lead us in discussion and developing actions that honour the important work we must all do together to sustain and protect life on Earth. Indigenous and non-Indigenous thinkers in the environment sector, Youth and Elders and representatives from government and industry will come together to create a unique dynamic not often experienced at academic conferences.

This conference is a volunteer-driven initiative, all donations will directly support conference expenses.

Key Note and Guest Speakers:

Vandana Shiva, Winona LaDuke, Manulani Meyer, Robin Kimmerer, Tom Porter, Imelda and David Perley

We invite you to attend this conference and create powerful change.

Your financial donations will contribute to the healing of the Earth and restoration of relationships between peoples and the land, by supporting our keynote and guest speakers, student admission costs, communications and other conference expenses.
