Hi, you might know me as Little Darling in Tiny Kittens LS chat.  I post a lot of the videos for TK.  My cat, Betty DCat was injured.  Her face had been sliced all the way through, from underneath her eye to near her mouth. The vet said her tooth (the fang one that she uses to chew) got knocked out, so most likely it wasn't an animal attack. It was probably someone who took a shovel or something similar, and knocked her in the head with it. Something hard enough to knock her tooth out.  It is upsetting to know that somebody would do that to a cat, even if the cat was eating something in their garden (which I've never seen her do, just giving an example) there's no excuse for that type of behavior. She will need dental work done on that tooth, she will probably be getting a crown so she can keep her fang for chewing and other things.  Hopefully, the vet can do that and not have to remove it.

Update 1-17-2013:  I took Betty to see a feline dentist today for a more thorough exam.  I got some bad news.  He said not only is her fang tooth knocked out, but also the one behind that as well.  That tooth was fractured and knocked out, too.  :(  Poor Betty.  He got a better look at the fang tooth.  He said it's broken off even more in the back, so the pulp is exposed and could get infected easier.  He recommends a root canal, then shaving off part of that tooth to make it more functional and filling it up.  He recommends removal of the other tooth behind that.  So now, we're looking at a higher surgical bill than before.  The new fee (which will include surgery and anesthesia) is $2300, that is my new goal.

Needless to say, but I will say it anyway this is not the news I was hoping for and I am still in a bit of shock.  However, Betty is healing, eating, sleeping, playing, talking and very social.  Today, at the dentist office, she was very outgoing and good spirited.  She is not letting this get her down, so I'm going to do the same.  :)

I can not express in words how grateful I am for your show of support and generosity.  Without all of you, this surgery would not be happening.  Thank you so much!!

Please, if you can help in any way for Betty to reach her new goal it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much!!  ^.^
