Ally Rayner was born on 9/19/2012 with 13 birth defects. She passed away Thursday, August 22,2013. She was 11 months old. In her short life here she had 23 surgeries and spent most of her life in the hospital. One of her major defects was one of her kidneys didn't develop and the other one shut down at 24 weeks pregnant. Ally had • cerebral uentriculomegaly • anemia in chronic kidney disease • seizures • chronic kidney disease stage 4 • cloacal malformation • congenital imperforate anus • ambiguous genital • renal dysphasia • tethered spinal cord • nutritional deficiency •brain disorder. She was in pediatric ICU having hemo dialysis preformed, something most hospitals do not do on babies this small. Ally spent the first 6 month of her life in NICU then she went home on peritoneal dialysis. She was home for 3 months then the family found out she had some problems with her intestines so she was admitted on July 3rd. For most of her life she was on vent life support. A few days before Ally passed away her parents were told by the Doctors there was nothing else that could be done to save Ally and that anything else they could possibly do would only make her suffer more. The parents now had the most difficult decision to make in their life, to take their baby of life support and let her die or continue letting her days be lived in a hospital. They decided to have her on support one last day and then the next day all tubes were removed from Ally. At 12:45 August 22,2013 the family got a private room with Ally so that the family got to hold her for the last time. The tubes were removed from Ally's body and her Mom and Dad got to hold their baby. They held their baby for almost 4 hours, she took 3 deep breaths and it was her last at 5:43pm. Ally did not have life insurance, because no insurance company would insure her. The medical bills and funeral costs have left this family in a bad financial situation. This page has been created in an effort to help raise money for Ally's Memorial Headstone before Christmas. Any donation would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and God Bless ♥
