Hi Everyone,

As some of you may know myself and my best friend Pam ran a rescue for 4 years that saved hundreds of death row dogs, many of whom were special needs. I can't even begin to explain the blood, sweat, and tears that went into that rescue. We had to close it last year due to our state putting forth very strict regulations on out of state dogs that made it impossible for her and I to rescue anymore. Many of the dogs we rescued were special, elderly, sick etc... and we were met with so much red tape and opposition that we decided to close the rescue and as individuals take in the special dogs as our own and find them homes. We had to keep things to a small scale. Also with my diagnosis of end stage breast cancer I had come to a point where I could no longer run things professionally the way I had when I was healthy.

Well, that being said - Pam has decided to open a small non profit which she has incorporated in the state of CT. She has filed for 501 (c)(3) Non Profit status with the IRS and is dedicated to becoming a recognized rescue for the neediest of the needy. Pam currently takes care of an array of special needs dogs. Many are upwards of 16 years old. Most are hospice dogs that require alot of care. I visit Pam on weekends and collect supplies for her but she is in desperate need of a fence and a roof for the extension on the home. Pam's entire life is dedicated to the dogs and they need a fenced in area to be safe. Right now the make shift small fence on the concrete is not working and since she spends every cent she has on the dogs there is zero funds for the fence, kennel, and roof needed to complete the sanctuary the way it needs to be done.

I went to Home Depot a few days ago and the First Alert Black Steel Standard Fence seems to be the best fit for Pam and also they make a driveway gate that will enclose that as well. I have found someone who is willing to donate his time to install the fencing and the roof.

This is not a small job. The total cost of the roof, fencing, and kennels is $5,500. I am committed to raising these funds so these dogs can have a wonderful and safe place to live out heir days. Pam takes in dogs on death row on a weekly basis and has a huge heart. I am hoping we can throw some support behind her and her rescue Animal Soup by raising the funds needed to complete the sanctuary in anticipation for the 501(c)(3).

Please take a moment to contribute if you can. If you are not able to at this time please consider keeping Pam and the special dogs in your hearts and prayers.

This is the largest amount of funds I have ever tried to raise. If anyone knows individuals, businesses, friends, or family members that want to help finish the sanctuary please share this. Pam has taken in and cared for dogs I have pulled and her sanctuary and safe home would save me a great deal in boarding and quarantine fees I pay right now. I would also volunteer a good portion of my time there to help. I want so badly for this to be finished and this place be available for the dogs everyone else turns their backs on.
