Wheels Work Wonders is a project created to provide used bikes, helmets and locks for the Karen refugees from Myanmar (formerly known as Burma) who live in the Mohawk Valley of Upstate New York. Created by Katherine Brind of Westwood, MA, the purpose of this project is to help the Karens become established in their new community, while honoring and continuing the mission work her grandparents began 10+ years ago. By fulfilling a critical need for transportation to get to work, school, and English classes, this is one small step towards helping them start new lives in a completely unfamiliar country. Without transportation, their options for jobs and getting to classes are limited. Please help by contacting us to donate used bikes, or by donating money to purchase new bikes, helmets, and locks to support the Karen refugees and help change their lives.

$5 will buy a bike lock

$10 will buy a helmet

$50 will buy a gently used bike, helmet, and lock
