Canine Rescue Putnam County isn't just about saving canines. We also save cats.

We are an all-volunteer group of individuals working tirelessly to save the many dogs and cats in Putnam County, FL that are either surrendered by their owners and dumped in a high-kill shelter, or picked up as strays. They are usually given only 7 days or fewer to be adopted or reclaimed. Every Thursday morning, before the shelter opens, it's D-Day for the unlucky animals, where they are cruelly euthanized via heartstick. We are trying to educate people about the importance of spaying/neutering, and making their pets have a rabies vaccination. There are some selfless individuals who go to the shelter every day to visit with, temperment test, walk, take pictures, take video, all for the purpose of getting the word out through social networking to save lives. But we need money to be able to do that. Some of the people who are rescuers need help with food, deworming meds, vet costs so that the dog or cat can be fully cleared to be adopted out to a loving forever home.

Please help us help them. If we don't speak for them, no one will.
