Hi, We have a very special son. He's been diagnosed with Autism since the age of 3. He is now 6, We have been struggleing to keep his interest with ways of learning with visual techniques to help Wade learn the things that most children do naturally and stay on track! Wade is a very hands on learner. He struggles with exspressing emotions and things that we find easy. Such as Anger, Sadness, Up, Down, Night and day things like that. He has a hard time putting words to his feelings which can lead upto tantrums. Not being able to exspress how you feel would anger you too, "right?"

Anyhow throughout his struggleing school year they use these things called IPads. I do not know too much about them, but I have researched a great deal of info on them. They sound wonderful! I have entered contest's and other possible winnings on this special device for the past few years and have yet to be so lucky.

These IPads have proven to be especially useful for communication with young people on the spectrum. They are used to exspress themselves through words and images, teaching them about everyday scenarios giving them more structure for independence. Wade uses his own tecqniques within a paper and pencil drawing his feelings out getting his message across. There are certain apps on these devices that allows us as parents to upload photos of the childs bedroom, bathroom, kitchen or even at school onto the apps allowing them to exspress or remember what comes next throughout the day.

They are saying this type of learning tool helps increase the childs communication skills socially growing into this rapidly busy world we live in.

As wonderful as these IPads sound they are by all meens unaffordable within our life. We are recently more then ever trapped in a very hard place. I, the mother is curruntly unable to work due to school schedualing and safe child care/ cost for two very busy children.

Also with Christmas right around the corner it seems impossible to even imagine the exspectation that this holiday brings in a small childs mind. Things are just hard right now. We have recently been informed that Daddy is also looseing his job. We are praying everynight for things to just be right! Why'll pounding the pavements searching for the best suitable carrer for Daddy and our little family. Things have just seemed to go from one thing to another!

We do realise there are people with far more sadness and troubles in there life. Which keeps us strong as a family. Because as long as you have family and a strong heart. You Will get by. We are just looking towards our futures. And anything thats out there to help our Wade along we will try for. Our childs confidence and staying focoused is the most important thing right now. To watch your child struggle is the hardest thing in the world. Any donation will help to take the next step in this world of understandings easier. Prayers and Blessings to you all who have taken the time to consider and think of Wades World! God Bless' Sincerely, a family of Joy!
