A Message from Darci Kleindl, sister of Stephanie Uusitalo:
For all, I authored this page in memory of my beloved brother in law, Jay Uusitalo. This space will be used to provide updates. We will be collecting from Facebook all of the memories and stories of Jay that you post, to share with his daughters. You may also email recollections to me or to Stephanie.

The Uusitalo, Norton, Hubbard, Hickman, and Kleindl families all thank you for all of your support, encouragement, and love. The families appreciate the overwhelming outpouring of love and support from friends, colleagues, and other members of the pilot communities alike.

A number of folks have asked how to contribute through a memorial fund for Jay and in support of his daughters. I have created a memorial fund on this page to accept financial contributions in honor of Jay and in support of his surviving family. There is no expectation of such contributions, but I did want to provide the option since so many people had asked directly over the past week.

Aiden Hubbard, Jay’s nephew on the flight, who gratefully survived and is recovering, also has an established fund for those who wish to donate. You may contact Spokane Teachers Credit Union (STCU) and the “Helping Hearts for Aiden”.

Update: March 15, 2013
Jay’s memorial services will be held next Friday at a wonderful location to celebrate his life with friends and loved ones. We hope to see many of you there with us.

Thank you again for all of your prayers and thoughts. The families are taking solace in the confirmation that Jay was loved by so many wonderful people who hold him in their hearts. You may check back at this site for occasional updates and additional information.
