Hi, my name is Amber Moore, I'm the mother of David Michael Moore. I've dedicated this page to my son due to the condition of his left hand. Let me first explain how happy my husband and I are to be first time parents to our beautiful son. There are no words that could describe what a remarkable feeling it is to be a mother. Just so you have a little idea of why we made this page, allow me to qui ckly explain my husband and my life situation. Currently my husband is stationed with Fort Campbell Army Post in Clarksville, Tennesse. Before we found out I was pregnant my husband had already begun his process for ending his term in the army. Now in the middle of having our baby we are in the process of moving to huntsville al, (our home town). To finish college and be around family and friends during this big change in our lives. At our 22 week appointment we had our first ultrasound. Everything went fantastic, the baby moved around plenty for us to tell he was a boy and my husband and I were thrilled. At the end of our appointment the lady performing our ultrasound seemed a little worried over something she saw on the ultrasound and decided to bring in the doctor. My husband and I got close preparing for anything. When he came in he sat down and calmly explained to us that David was missing half of his left hand. My husband was very strong in holding back tears to give me comfort. We were both completely shocked considering that niether one of our extended family members or close relatives have any problems like this. The doctor explained in the nicest way he could that his hopes are that this is the only condition that David will face. However he explained that we will not know the extent of his condition until he is born. He also explained to us that David will most likely need specialists, x-rays, prostetics, etc. With so many medical bills to face after or son is born my husband and I are deciding to ask for help. It's not an easy thing to do but at this point anything will help as long as David has what he needs. All we both care about is having a happy and healthy baby. We appriciate any donations or anything anyone can do to help. We realize how hard it is for everyone at this time in our economy, so if you aren't able to make a donation all we ask is that you keep us in your prayers. Any of the donations we recieve are strictly for the baby's medical needs. Since we found out about the David's condition we have gotten even stronger as a couple, and we continue to thank the lord everyday that so far this is the only issue our family faces. We plan to keep everyone updated on the progress our little baby has in the world. And we thank everyone who took the time to read over this.
