In August of 2012 I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer (Metatasis Adenocarcinoma of unknown primary). I have gone through lots of testing to find out where it came from but with no avail, we do know however that it is spreading fast. It’s an aggressive form of cancer. It’s located in my neck, chest, left and right side of my stomach. It has already caused a blood clot in my abdomen which is radiating down to my foot and cutting the blood flow off to my toes. I have no medical insurance and the bills are piling up. I NEED HELP! For once in my life I can honestly say those words. Without help I can’t fight this and I am not willing to give up. Whether it’s $5 or $50 anything would be greatly appreciated. This money will go to pay for my medical bills and prescription medicine. My Family and I were devastated. But surprisingly, in the midst of darkness, this past month has also been filled with beauty, laughter and an outpouring of love and support that have left us filled with gratitude. Family, friends and complete strangers have shown us that we are not alone. Please help me fight this nasty disease! Updates: * Monday Aug 17th I started losing my hair * Saturday Aug. 22nd I went ahead and shaved the rest of my hair off. * Next chemo treatment is Friday Aug 28th * After the first treatment I am noticing that my foot and toes are almost back to normal. Doctor said it could be that the cancer on my left side shrunk and opened up the blot clot I had. Please keep the prayers coming, it's working. *Oct 9th Finally feeling better after the second chemo treatement, boy the sickness you get from it is out of this world. Also found out today that the cancer is not in my brain, so happy about that. I feel the chemo is actually working now. The 2 knots I have on my stomach are starting to get smaller. I know I have along way to go but it's progress. *Chemo Oct. 19th Update: * Oct 27th Just now getting a little better from my 3rd chemo treatment. Things seem to be looking good. spots are continuing to get smaller so hopefully on my next ct scan it will be gone...fingers crossed! My blood count has been a little low and they've considered giving me blood to bring my count back up. Of course I don't want that. So Friday they gave me some fluids and steriods to try to give me a boost. It seems to be working ok. Still so tired though. I go back Nov. 2nd for them to check my blood again. But I am looking forward to my good week I have so many things I need to do, I should be feeling completly better by the end of next week. Oh yeah, my foot is still not giving me any problems...I hope that continues! *Next Chemo treatment Nov. 9th Thanks to all that has donated on here, in cash, mail and in person it has helped so much taking some of the stress of me. If you are wanting to donate but you don't want to do it on the internet you can send it to: Valerie Young 1491 Wire Rd Thomson, Ga. 30824 Thanks everyone for your prayers, love and support!
