GOOD VIBRATIONS, live concert in Milan (Feb 22rd 2017) for the earthquake victims in Italy
Musical Fundraising to Help The Earthquake Victims in Italy
This projects aims to organize a great charity music concert in Milan in February during the Fashion Week, so that we can help people in Marche rebuild their lives and share a message of hope for them.
In the wake of the devastating earthquake that affected Central Italy, the whole world showed support and concern. Music is for me the greatest way to reach out as well to a new generation of people and now I wish I could leverage my position to reach unique artists I discovered around the world to raise funds and awareness for people experiencing earthquake in Italy.
My mission today is to raise funds via a concert to be held in Milan at Magazzini Generali the 22rd of February (2017) in order to use money collected via tickets sales for reinforcing support to be offered to people I met in the Marche region earlier in September.
I call for your help: Central Italy desperately needs all of Our support and I need you to make this real.
Thank you for your contribution!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I started this project after I went to Muccia earlier in September with CISOM (Corpo Italiano Soccorso del Ordine dI Malta - www.cisom.org) providing support to the homeless' families, to the victim's families after the striking earthquake that hit Central Italy on August 25th 2016. In this occasion, we handed out clothing meals and messages of hope and light to these people.
I wish I can use my music instinct for enhancing support to be offered to these people. I want to reach out to those who were impacted by this terrible disaster and that in 10 minutes saw their lives changed and there homes devastated.
I am passionate about music since I was very young where I used to prepare playlists for my best friends. Afterwards, when I was studying International Relations in London, a friend asked me to spin some music for the cocktail at her art gallery and so I had my first DJ-set. The party was supposed to be over at 10 pm but it continued well until the early hours of the following day.
That is when I understood what I wanted to be when I grew up. I believe that my music is a universal and versatile language that, not only manages to convey feelings, but has also the power to trigger them off. My favorite songs are those that make you feel good: I strive to play happy music. And at events, I normally focus on one person, the oldest. If I see that such person can’t stand still and dances to the music then I know I’m doing well.
I decided to turn my greatest passion into a job. So, I decided to upload music playlists episodes (Scilla’s Music Podcast - www.scilla.podbean.com) and continued working as a DJ for different kind of events.
Now I would like to turn this into my other passion:
Two times a year I go on a pilgrimage to Lourdes and Loreto and I play my music even at Lourdes where I used to walk around with a speaker to wake up and prepare the people in need to face the day in a serene mood.( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=leEGXqlvD8M )
I believe I am ready to move on and link my passion about music with what is a core activity I carry out since I was 6 years old and I wish I am able to combine live blues music and charity. The concept is not new, the trend is growing and I definitely wish my passion about music can benefit people experiencing difficult moments in their lives. I believe that one of the most effective ways of social change comes through music.
My mission today is using the way that people consume music and consume entertainment to bring them into a cause. And on February, 22 Magazzini Generali in Milan will welcome two musicians to play for a small entry fee.
This concert aims to find a way to incorporate charity into the entertainment by donating the whole portion of ticket sales in order to raise money for people affected by the earthquake in Italy.
More precisely, funds will go to:
The Town of Amatrice:
Construction of a hospital that meets disability requirements in Amatrice:
The hospital near Amatrice is severely damaged with extensive diagonal cracks in the walls and inside the ceilings have fallen in. Patients were immediately evacuated after the first shocks. The next closest hospitals are now 30 km away in Ascoli Piceno and Rieti.
The Town of Muccia:
A specially created fund destined for the reconstruction and in support of dining, commerce in the municipality of Muccia.
Creating a festival takes a lot of time and money, and to have a successful event, it is important to be embedded in the community and I am sure this concert is going to leave a positive lasting impact.
I wish I can become the sponsor of many more music festival and events, that provide me with the ability to attract more and more bigger audiences and maybe one that could potentially continue year over year.
The broader goal is to get the attention of thousands people who are expected to attend, but I need you for setting up this first concert - I ask you to contribute by making your donation to help me organize this wonderful project.
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR INCREDIBLE HELP
