CorgiPals, Inc. hasn't added a story.
"Napoleon was a gift from my girlfriend Gigi last year for my 30th birthday. What a gift! He has been so much fun and brings happiness to us every day. When we come home it just makes us so happy to see his excitement, and all the sounds he makes just puts an instant smile on our faces. Speaking of his sounds, every morning he comes into our bed and we like to call it his "morning report." He yawns and stretches and makes all these crazy sounds that we swear he is talking to us. True to his name he feels like he is a big dog. His best friend who lives in our building is Blue, a blue brindle, who has taught him the ropes of wrestling and how to play with the big dogs. His next best friend is our neighbors cat, Jack, who comes over every day to tussle with Napoleon and then when they are tired of fighting they wind up sleeping next to each other.
Napoleon really has a great personality, he wants everyone to pet him and will be highly upset with you until you do. He gets along with people and dogs, always wanting to play and have fun. At home he likes to relax with us on the futon or lay flat like a pancake and leave his famous lamb chops (what we call his hind legs) facing straight back. Our favorite times with him have been at our park where they have off the leash hours. We take him every Saturday and it is so much fun. He gets to meet dogs of all breeds and sizes but he also has his Corgi gang of about 5. When put together it seems they herd all the other dogs and they become a force to be reckoned with! That is the best thing ever to be seen!!
Napoleon recently turned one and was diagnosed with juvenile cataracts in both eyes this past January 2013. Our ophthalmologist says his vision will slowly degrade over the next few months and we will need to get him surgery this coming summer. Gigi and I set up a Fundrazr page to help us pay for his surgery and then when we found out about your site we wanted to join this as well to get as much word out as possible.
What we would like to do, if possibl,e is raise as much as possible on our Fundrazr to pay the vet, use what you can raise to also pay the vet and hopefully if you or we have any extra funds use that to help another of your CorgiPals members who needs it. Again we want to thank you so much for doing what you do and helping us. It means so much to us."
Pals, the estimated cost for Napoleon's surgery (including the 5% increase to cover Fundrazr's fee) is $4,910. As always, I have set up the fundraising widget in the right sidebar. Please share Napoleon's story with your friends and family, and help this sweet boy if you can!
