My name is Alice Ali-gator...the Blind, Audacious, Aussie-huahua. This fundraiser is benefit my new furiend, Lucky, who was found on the side of the freeway, emaciated and with a fractured pelvis. Lucky needs YOUR HELP to have a metal plate put in his pelvis and the head of his femur removed. This entails $2100 worth of surgery, neutering, and aftercare. This is a very discounted price for this surgery and we are thankful for Yokayo Veterinary Center's generosity.

Lucky had been seen in the area for several days and appeared to have been abandoned; but, no one had been able to entice him to them. Then he was hit by a car.

There is a specialist, Dr. Featherston, coming in to do the surgery along with Lucky's new vet, Dr. Merritt. He will also be in the capable hands of veterinary technician, Mary Merritt. In case you don't know, Mary is the person who bottle fed me as a baby and she and Dr. O were responsible for allowing me to live.

The wonderful people who stopped and picked Lucky up would be happy to give him a furever home. However, the wife recently lost her job and finances will not allow for all the care that Lucky needs.

When Mom heard about Lucky, she had Meowmy drive her straight to the vet center even though she was herself on her way home from a medical procedure. Mom talked to the man who wants to be Lucky's daddy and when she said we would try to help them, tears ran down his face. He said, "I can't stand to see him suffer; he is such a sweet little boy."

The man said he will call him Lucky, because he is so small that it is just luck that they noticed him curled in the weeds on the side of the freeway as they were driving at 65 mph.

Yes, he was lucky to be seen, lucky to be picked up by loving people who did not take him to animal control where he would most likely be euthanized, and lucky he can have a furever home with those same people.

Now he just needs a little luck to raise the money to give him that good new life of warmth, food, and love.

Lucky will be my first “paw it forward”….I hope you will help me make it a success. Any amount is appreciated.

Fanks from da bottoms ob my heart. Luvs you all!
