50 Weeks running
this year has taken a toll on my mental health, so i started running to clear my mind. to stick with it, i signed up for a half marathon - happening this month - october 22nd.
the farther the distance...the more thinking time. there have even been times when i have just wept after a run. it's been my therapy.
for this i am so thankful. so i decided to raise money for the three contributors to why i'm doing the scotiabank toronto half marathon:

mental health. i can relate to those battling with their own mind, hence why i started running. i am raising specifically for the CAMH foundation in my city. (

matthew house. my church's love toronto program introduced me to this run a couple years back. with every runner, the church would donate to matthew house, a set of homes that welcome and assist newly arrived refugees. (side note: this year c3 toronto was able to buy a 4th home for the organization! amazing! i love my church!) (read more about matthew house

momma bear. this year has been a roller coaster with my mom going through melanoma. it has made my mind spin, but also given me clarity with what's important in life. not everyone has a great support group. my mom + family has been truly blessed with this. i'll be donating to the melanoma network of canada for treatment + support. (

i will be dividing the funds in equal thirds to each of the above. i would love your support in donating to the link in my bio! every little bit counts.
