Moses Chan, a 37 year old single dad went through a very unexpected, traumatic procedure of amputating all four of his limbs in order to save his life, from what he thought were the symptoms of a simple flu. He went to the hospital and quickly slipped into a coma, awaking to black hands and feet with the heartbreaking news that he would need to lose all four in order to survive.

Since the surgery, he has been able to raise over $100k to purchase a set of prosthetic hands, in which will take over a year to be ready for installation and gruesome physiotherapy in order for them to be fully functional.

While this is an incredible milestone, Moses still faces the daunting financial burden of $10k annually for maintenance of the hands, and an unbearable $100k every 5 years for a new set of prosthetic hands for the unforeseeable future.

Moses dreams of new technology development of real hand transplants to be available in the future. Until that time, he is faced with the only option of the prosthetics for a very hefty price.

Moses' 6 year old son Myles is adjusting to an entirely new life routine with his father, but both are keeping a very positive attitude and making the most of their situation. They are truly grateful and blown away by all the support of their family, friends, and incredibly generous sponsors.
