A virilent strain of ringworm has struck the UPA shelter & many animals are suffering. Fortunately it's treatable, but the costs are enormous. Please help! UPA can't rescue or place any more pets until every affected dog and cat has been cured. Any amount, big or small, can help cover the costs of emergency care for these and other rescued dogs and cats brought into the Antigua, Guatemala rescue. (Linda's Note: When I rescued "Chance," the handsome chap in the photo, he suffered from hunger, parasites, and mange. After 2 months with UPA he was finally starting to look more like a dog than a hyena (!). Now he also has ringworm, and I can only imagine what it's doing to his already disease-ravaged skin. I can *only* imagine, because until he's well, I can't go hug or reassure him. I really hope you'll help.)
