Chef David Brittain is about to embark on a medical, life saving and life altering journey. After living with Polycystic Kidney Disease since diagnoses at the age of 27 he has finally reached the end of the road with living in kidney failure. He is going to undergo a complete removal of both of his kidneys. (bilateral nephrectomy) He will be dependent on hemodialysis while he is healing for several weeks. When the doctors feel he is well enough he will then have a kidney transplant. David and his wife Heather are a match, which is a miracle in itself, so they both will have surgery together for him to receive a healthy kidney. People have inquired how they could help during this time. Due to the financial burden of all that is ahead with medical costs, lack of wages, (Heather’s wages) anti-rejection drugs, and the cost of living any help would be so appreciated. Prayers are always the most important gift during this time and by no means should anyone feel obligated to help monetarily. Thank You all for all the support David has in his life!
