Doug Corta was recently diagnosed with a Malignant Brain Tumor. He is self-employed and is the Head Varsity Softball Coach at Eagle High School. Jacki and his three daughters are helping him fight the good fight! Please help if you can!

This account has been started for the benefit of Doug & Jacki Corta and their family. Doug was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor that is malignant. He has had surgery and is recovering at this time. As soon as he heals from the surgery he will be starting Radiation and Chemotherapy.  They have a Catastrophic Insurance policy with a very large deductible. These funds raised by this account will be used to offset all medical bills and living expenses while he is recuperating and fighting this disease.

You can see his entire story and journey on Caring under "Doug Corta".

As many of you know Doug is the owner of a local business - "Doug's Burger Den" and the Head Varsity Softball Coach at Eagle High School. While he is recuperating he is not able to be at either of these jobs.  Many of his friends and family members have stepped forward to help with his business and coaching duties. Both Doug and Jacki have been long time volunteers as coaches for Softball and Basketball with Idaho Sliders, West Valley, AAU, YMCA and Hoop Dreams.  They are a very special family to all who know and love them.

Below is an excerpt from Jacki's personal Journal on CaringBridge:

"I told them there is nothing stopping us!" We are fighting this and with the Grace of God, prayers and chemo we are beating this. My emotions have been all over the place today but the one thing I know. Our God is a good God, through his healing hands he can work miracles. I know now I will be the rock for my girls, I will be the shoulder for my husband to cry on, and I will be the warrior that will lead this support group to battle, AND WE WILL WIN! Love and Blessings! - Jacki Corta (March 13, 2014)
