For those of you who don't know Kaliko: Kalikolehua Kanaele (Kaliko) is a native Hawaiian indigenous religious practitioner on the Big Island of Hawaii. He conducts the world renowned ceremony to honor the spirit of the mountain at the summit of Mauna Kea each solstice and equinox. Kalikolehua has also been a member and chief of the Royal Order of King Kamehameha I for many years. Kalko was initiated as a native American sweat lodge leader by Lakota medicine man Charlie Chipps and leads Hawaiian sweat lodges at his home on the healing island of Hawaii.
Kaliko is an ecology and political activist for Hawaii. He regularly participates in demonstrations, and attends meetings to testify about issues concerning Hawaii. He has dedicated his life to helping people and protecting Hawaii. In addition, he is a musician. Hear him chanting and join his fan club at KalikoGuys.com.
I personally learned some of my most powerful and useful spiritual lessons from Kaliko, his Hawaiian Gods, and the other people who live and attend sweat lodges at his little house on the big island. Because of this I donate regularly to Kaliko Guys at Kaliko's website, KalikoGuys.com. I consider this donation to be my spiritual tithing.
Now Kaliko and all of the people who help him and receive help from him are facing a major problem, but one that we can repair quickly. The angel who saved Kaliko’s house from predatory lenders several years ago has gone bankrupt and the house is once again threatened. Anyone who considers Kaliko’s sweat lodge to be their church,or simply wishes to support a native Hawaiian kahuna, activist, and musician, please donate to this fund. All sponsors will receive a recording of Kaliko chanting and be invited to his house on the Big Island.
If you are interested in participating in the Mauna Kea Ceremony or in a Hawaiian Sweat Lodge contact Kaliko@KalikoGuys.com
If we do not raise enough money to save Kaliko’s house, he will use what money is raised to relocate. Please send an email to Kaliko@KalikoGuys.com if you need a tax-free receipt for your donation.
Note from Kaliko:
Aloha Ohana
I need kokua in saving my home, I was hoping to
resolve this issue with the persons involved but they too are on hard
times and lost my house through their bankruptcy. I mortgaged my home
to help Stacy Higa start his business, but predatory dealings from the
Bank put us through every 3 years for about 9 years, foreclosing on my
home until Stacy had Alfred buy my home for 89,000 and he was supposed
to pay off what Stacy needed to pay on the loan that he got from me
and then pass the payments over to me. Alfred gets sick and stops
paying the bill and then files bankruptcy with out us knowing and I
now have to pay almost 112,000 for a 54,000 loan, then went to 89,000
and now 5% more than 107,000 that the Bank bid. I really really need
kokua, The Native American Church of Hawaii Inc. through their save a
home project, have agreed for the donation, to be tax exempt number
for your kokua so you can write it off. Again Ohana I would not ask
for kokua if I didn't need it. If you can kokua in other ways that
would be greatly appreciated, finding another place, cheap rent until
we can build a place, anything that can kokua. So if you want to
donate please go this fundrazer site. If you just want to help please
call 9093157390, or e-mail me at kaliko@kalikoguys.com or my web master Julia@Juliawiddop.com. Mahalo kaloko I maika`i.
Aloha Aina
Kaloikolehua
