Astrocytoma is a tumor that arises from astrocytes, star-shaped cells that play a supportive role in the brain.
Biography
Leland is 6 years old and had an MRI on 6/8/11 and it revealed that multiple tumors were located on his brain. After 16 months of chemotherapy, it was determined that his little body needed a break. For the last 7 months, single mom-nursing student Sadie (mom), Lee and big brother Randy have been trying to have a "normal" life.

Recent tests revealed that, because of the number of tumors and growth in those tumors, Lee will need to resume cancer treatment. Due to the location of one tumor in particular, Lee has lost vision in one eye completely and there is talk of removing the eye all together.

Sadie is just a couple months away from finishing nursing school. The burden of travel expenses for treatment shouldn't be a concern for her and the boys. Please consider helping in any amount you are able. Every penny is a blessing and one less to worry about for this extra special family.
