On April 1st, we welcomed the child from whom our family has prayed so much for. On April 2nd, we said goodbye.

Rowan Lee Bruenning was loved so much during his short time on this Earth. Born to proud parents Kyle Bruenning and Amberly Soto, his arrival was long anticipated. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the doctors informed us that Rowan needed to come early—at only 29 weeks. We were nervous, but we knew he was a fighter and in great hands.

A Star is Born

Rowan was perfect in every way. He had a thick head full of curly brown hair, even as a premie! He was very active, both in the womb and out, and loved to kick around. He was long for a premie, with his daddy's feet and his mommy's nose.

An Unthinkable Tragedy

Nothing could have prepared us for what happened the morning of April 2nd. After making steady improvements in the NICU, Rowan suddenly took a turn for the worse. The doctors tried everything they could, going above and beyond to resuscitate Rowan. However, it was too late. Rowan peacefully took his final breaths in the arms of his parents who loved him so much.

Our Angel Above

In the wake of this devastating tragedy, we are left to wait until we can see you again someday. During this difficult time, we do not want Kyle and Amberly to have to worry about how they will lay their sweet baby boy to rest, or pay the mounting hospital bills. We humbly ask for assistance during this time. Anything and everything is appreciated, even if that's just a heart react, share, or comment.
