The Canucks Autism Network Vancouver Hockey Team, aka “Vancouver Orcas”, thanks you for your generosity.
The tournament is an incredible opportunity for these players to experience the excitement of team travel and the intensity of a tournament with their peers. Thanks to you, the players will benefit from an esteem building experience which will positively impact so many other dimensions of their lives. Learning to play hockey and participating in a tournament like this would be impossible without the Canucks Autism Network (CAN) coaches, staff, and volunteers.
Worrying about our children not being able to participate in sports and recreation and other community activities is one of the heaviest burdens families living with autism can face, something which a lot of other families can take for granted. But thanks to CAN, when our kids hit the ice they are welcomed, valued, and supported. And thanks to you, they will bring this success story all the way to the next chapter in Penticton this April.
