$1.00 from as many of YOU as possible will make a difference in the lives of animals in GADSDEN COUNTY, FL. Can you just imagine the number of dogs and cats that could be spayed or neutered with your contribution? The number of animals that could be provided with all vaccinations, healed from their wounds and placed in loving homes. Together we can accomplish miracles! These animals deserve our efforts and your contributions. Please consider contributing to our 2014 INITIATIVES, at YOUCANMAKEADIFFERENCE, INC, every penny goes directly to animal services as ALL of our overhead expenses are covered by our founders. We have the opportunity to save the lives of dogs, cats and other animals, who will one day, be part of a family who cannot imagine life without them. YOUR financial help will make you part of the solution, YOU WILL BE MAKING A DIFFERENCE, again, please consider donating.

"Puffy" (picture above)  our campaign rescue female miniature poodle was thrown over a 6 foot high fence. As you see she was matted. Once groomed we discovered that she suffered from flea infestation, was heartworm positive (critically high load), hip displacement, mild pulmonary hypertension, bronchitis and mildly narrowed trachea in the thorax suggestive of tracheal collapse. "Puffy" appears to have been used in a "local puppy mill". She was emaciated, continuously coughing, fearful of human contact and "did not know how to walk in the grass". Her situation though pitiful is a clear example of what our organization encounters day in and day out. Just recently, under torrential rains and extreme cold, two female Shepherd mix puppies were thrown in a creek (video) , we assume with the intention that they would drown. Two rescue dogs in our facility rescued the puppies and brought them to their housing area. These two puppies were emaciated, fearful of human contact, and flea infected. Like them, many puppies, young dogs, kittens, cats, and horses are in dare need in our county. In the year 2012, 1250 dogs/cats (no data for other animals was available) were euthanized secondary to abandonment, neglect, abuse and/or overpopulation. Our organization's mission is to prevent precisely the type of situations we have described above but we can't do it without your help. We receive a generous donation once a year from our founders but the need surpasses this donation and any other assistance we are lucky to receive in the form of grants, sponsorships, and public donations. Your contribution will make it possible for us to continue helping them!
