Tossed from the window of a moving car, a little bundle of fur came to rest near a pile of trash that littered the side of the road.  A woman driving behind them could not believe what she just witnessed--a small little puppy struggling to its feet.  She pulled over and quickly stepped out of the car.  Walking carefully not to alarm the little bundle of fur, she was shocked this tiny animal was alive, but even more amazed that it had gotten up defiantly, and was walking toward her, whimpering. This Good Samaritan saw something in this little pup, that her previous owners did not - Courage.

Meet Cassidy, the tri-color little girl that was discarded on the side of the road.  Her ordeal left her with a broken jaw and some other minor injuries, however, she is recovering well.  She will soon be ready to find her Forever Home.

Please share her story and help us cover little Cassidy's vet bills.  She is about 17 weeks old, approximately 10 pounds.  She is very smart and has developed such a warm, playful personality.  If you are interested in meeting this courageous little angel, please call the Giles County Humane Association at 931-363-5455
