As most of you know, the big bang puppies (eight of them) were pulled out from under an abaonded house in early January right before the big freeze came about. When we got them, they already had horrible health issues. They were covered in a staph infection, hair falling out, scabs all over, oozing and itching all of the time. You could tell that they just didn't feel well at only around 6 weeks old. By 8 weeks old they were still on medication daily and medicated baths. Leslie and Wally did not survive, they passed away peacefully one evening together. The next day we found out that they all have something called puppy strangles. Puppy strangles is a rare disease that they were born with that effects their lymphnodes and gives them even more skin issues. Over the next few days, even with more medication, they would get better and then the next day one or two of them would be drastically ill from the day before. Finally, we decided to hospitalize the remaining six babies. Raj was able to come home after 3 days at ACC. (His bill total is $275.00) and soon after three of the puppies (Bernadette, Amy, and Sheldon) broke with parvo. Penny and Priya seem to be doing OK so far and are showing no symptoms. It will cost roughly $300.00 to treat each of the puppies for parvo if they only have to be hopsitalized a short time. We are in need of some help to raise the funds to pay for this treatment. Please share this with your friends and family and help us help the big bang puppies fight parvo. They have already been through SO much in their short lives and they deserve the best!
