We are reaching out to you with a sincere request for help. We would like you to meet Valentyn and Max, a loving gay couple currently facing significant challenges in their home country of Ukraine. As members of the LGBTQ+ community, they have been subjected to discrimination and persecution, which has made it impossible for them to live freely and openly.
In these challenging times, Valentyn and Max face the additional fear of being drafted into the military and never returning from the frontline.
They dream of a life where they can express their love freely, without fear of violence or discrimination. They aspire to build a future together in Austria, a country renowned for accepting and respecting diversity.
Max and Valentyn are facing a challenging journey to reach safety and freedom. They are planning to leave Ukraine and settle in Austria, but to do so, they need to obtain two volunteer permits. These permits have significant financial costs but are essential to semi-legally cross the Ukrainian border and reside in Austria. Once they have these permits, they can begin to rebuild their lives and escape the constraints of oppression.
We are launching this fundraising campaign to raise $35,000 to cover the expenses of obtaining the necessary permits and to support them as they embark on this journey towards safety and acceptance.
Your contribution will significantly impact the lives of Valentyn and Max. It will give them a chance to flee persecution, find a safe place to live, and work towards achieving their shared aspirations for a better future.
