Hungry and dying, this little kitten, along with his sister, was roaming around Taco Bell. They crawled up into a truck engine that was idling at the drive through. Lucky for them, that truck belonged to Steve Lakey who promptly took the kittens home to Kathy Funderburk, where he knew they would be taken care of. Covered head to tail with huge fleas and one very full tick, this one little boy was deathly sick. They were literally sucking the life out of him. He has been taken to the vet, has been hospitalized and requires a blood transfusion. Flea Anemia is one of the leading killers of domestic kittens. He stands a chance at living due to Kathy and Steve caring. They will cover any medical treatment needed out of their own pockets but why can't we help?! Kathy does so much already by fostering and making monthly, scheduled contributions to our local shelter. Let's show Kathy how much we appreciate what she does by helping out on these expenses. This will allow her to help save more lives in the future. Total expenses so far are around $450. The kitten is being treated at Wateree Animal Hospital in Camden. You may verify with them that this treatment is being given by  calling 803-425-9084.
