We are looking to raise funds for our poor puppy's vet bills after she severed a tendon in her knee on broken glass. Any donations, no matter how small, would be extremely helpful. Thank you.

Lily is our 11 month old brindle lurcher puppy who until very recently was a happy, bouncy, loveable animal. Her life was turned upside down when she severed a tendon in her knee on broken glass. She has had 2 intensive surgeries to try and fix her poor leg but if it doesn't improve she will have to lose it.

My partner and I are currently already in financial difficulties, living off barely £100 a week, and are finding it very difficult to cope with the mounting vets bills. We have tried the PDSA, but because our claim for housing benefits is still being processed (and may be for some time) they refused to help.

We would hugely appreciate any help we could get, no matter how small to give her the best treatment possible and hopefully save her leg.

All we want is for our little girl to be back bouncing around the house and wagging her tail at everyone she sees as these events have left her noticeably distressed and upset. She is usually quite muscular and chunk for a lurcher but you can see from the photo how skinny she is due to the stress.

We are not putting a goal amount on this campaign as treatment is still ongoing. The bill is currently at £485 but we don't know if or when this may increase. Amputation could add £600, but if we manage to exceed our requirements for the vet bills we will donate the remainder of the money to a local animal shelter.

Thank you for your time and any kind donations you can give.

 Max and Beverly.
