On or around May 30th I posted a picture on my page of a Tennessee Death Row dog...she had no name;(--just a cage number...Well someone seen her on my page (she was within hours of being put to her death) and wanted to adopt herso on May 31st she was pulled--given her rabies shot etc..and transported...within the first 24 hours she was gone:( The story that was given was that she escaped out a window after pushing a air conditioner out during a story (I will not say that this is untrue--because I wasn't there) from day 1 I contacted him worried that this Death Row Dog was lost in a city she was unfamiliar with--and at this point she wouldn't have known her name to even come to it...I told this person to hang fliers..to call AC..to run ads..talk to neighbors..etc.. I told him to contact AC for a live trap and even suggested what needed to be put in it for a 100% success rate...after speaking with him..I started to get the feeling that something was not right...So I contacted Animal Control myself--she had not been reported missing--there were no fliers hung up with her picture on them--after speaking with Animal Control I knew that Pitties/Pittie mixes were on the unadoptable list at this shelter they are put to death first and never given a chance...Along with Animal Control I started the steps to find her and get her safe I emailed her pictures to AC and they made fliers for me and had my contact information and posted them..All behind the scenes this was going on--I had only let very few people know my plight...So for a month this was going on...she was spotted quite often by AC in the surrounding area of where she had ESCAPED...one of those days she was within 4 houses and they called me...I tried contacting the adopter but he didn't answer.that's when I rec'd the information that made me even more furious...this wasn't the first missing dog...this wasn't the first time Animal Control had been involved with this person...daily I would see posts of his searching..but behind the scenes I knew what was going on...Animal Control officers through all this were on my side...they made a PROMISE to me that as soon as she was caught--that I would be the first to know...On July 2nd..I rec'd the call I was waiting for.. "Mikell..I think we have her"..."Can I text you her picture so you can verify?"...r...we knew then we had to get her into the vet asap...she was in bad shape as AC had told me...i'm so thankful that 2 officers cared enough to keep up with me all day long to see how things were going...each time I posted a pic...I also sent it to their phones and I would get a smiley face each time...and they've kept in contact asking how she was doing...I want to thank all of you for the messages...the posts...the videos...I'm greatful & blessed and her journey has just begun...the closing of one book...and the first chapter in a new...
