After having multiple surgeries at multiple hospitals, Marshall has not walked in over 6 months. He still needs more care and is uninsured. His leg was badly broken when he was loading his drums out of a venue after performing a album-wrap concert. Several strangers began fighting around him. He was uninvolved and tried to remove himself, but it was too late. The men fled after realizing the gravity of the situation and the result was devastating. He required emergency orthopedic surgery to repair his shattered tibia and fibula. Marshall fought hard and after days in ICU he moving forward and stable. He is on the tail end of recovery. He needs to raise money for another (4th) surgery and physical therapy. Every single dollar counts. His medical bills will arrive near $400,000 and he is starting to get turned down at hospitals. Marshall is a lifelong drummer. Anything you contribute, even one dollar, will help a great deal!. Contributions will aid in supplies, further surgeries, physical therapy, and medications.

UPDATE:
I was able to get my external fixator (leg cage) removed! Now I'm in a plaster cast and for the first time in 6 months I'm able to put some weight on my leg. It feels so weird. I can't put very much weight on it. The joints in my ankle have shrunk a lot so it's painful to have ANY bending of the ankle or even hint of it. I can now see why re-learning how to walk can take as much as a year or more. One of my surgeons thinks I have an infection again. This would be devastating and limb-threatening if it's true. My other surgeon thinks I don't have an infection, and that the unusual redness is caused by congestion of the new blood supply. So now we are just waiting to get the cast off and see what they think. Thanks to this money I can now go to the hospital for all of these appointments, go to physical therapy for my arm (where they removed my vein and skin for my leg) and be able to pay for them that day and get treatment without insurance. It's amazing to have that kind of peace of mind. So thank you guys, and I'll post another update when I get this plaster cast off and see what the verdict is!

love,
Marsh
