At Strength Church we have a passion and a heart for serving others through our various programs, such as Celebrate Recovery and Safe Families.  Most recently we have been led to start an additional program called Fresh Hope, that will address one of the most prevalent issues of our time--mental health.  Just turning on the news is a blaring reminder of the multi-faceted effects of mental health issues that so many people (of all ages) are facing, and we want to step up and help fill this need.  

As we open our doors and hearts to our community and beyond, we find ourselves in need of administrative and coaching teams to facilitate this clinically-proven research-based resource.  

Here are some highlights of ministries that we have implemented with success and need your help to continue:

• Homeless Assistance:  We began on the beach and invited the homeless living in the area to join us during service back in 2018.  We began helping this population at that time and saw such a need that we continue to do so today.  We do extensive work providing homeless kits, guidance to housing resources, and food.  In fact, we are glad that our church is known to be helpful to this community and we frequently receive calls asking for resources and assistance from our homeless community!

• Celebrate Recovery:  This program has over 30 years of international success helping people suffering from addiction, mental health issues, and other hurts, habits and hangups. This program provides a safe place to recover and go through a proven 12-step program that is wildly successful.  We have a passion for this program, especially now, because mental health and addiction assistance needs are greater than ever due to the pandemic.  We are glad to help and serve our community members who struggle with these serious life challenges!

• Safe Families for Children: Children have a special place in our hearts so this one is a special program that we love dearly which helps to keep homeless and at-risk children out of the foster system while helping their parents to improve the quality of life for themselves and their children.  This program became a focus for our church after myself and my wife became a Certified Host Family several years ago and ended up hosting a homeless boy for over 4 months while his mom found a job and housing.  The church fell in love with this young man and the program, so we recently became a certified Safe Families church.  We're excited to host more children and help their parents through this ministry!

Fresh Hope is an important mental-health ministry that is sorely needed right now to add to our ministries.
