Hello.  My name is Linda.  I've been helping in the animal rescue community for over a decade. Recently, I came upon an extraordinary program called Angels For Everyday Heroes, by Angels Journey Home Animal Rescue (AJH).  They save dogs from shelters, provide training, and match them up with Veterans who need help transitioning back into society when they return home.  With many of my relatives being Veterans, I immediately wanted to help.  Angels For Everyday Heroes not only provides veterans with a trained service dog, they also provide them with help for homelessness, medical help, clothing and basic needs.  So, I jumped onboard.  This is when I met Kris.

Kris is a wounded Marine Veteran, who suffers from PTSD, and injuries sustained from a rocket grenade launcher. He could barely function until he got his service dog Chopper. Chopper saved his life.  I watched a local news video of Chris and Chopper;  they made the news when a bar owner kicked him out of the restaurant for bringing Chopper in with him.  I was enraged.  Here was a wounded Veteran, on total disability, being treated like an outsider. Then I found out more...

Due to financial concerns, and the state of his modular home, Kris, Chopper, and his young family are being forced to move.  So, they are packing up, and leaving Florida to move to Pennsylvania into their new home. The downside? Well, the house needs some repairs before it would be suitable for Kris, and his family to move in.  AJH would like to raise money to help purchase a new furnace, water heater, and building materials just to get him started.  We need your help to help Kris-we need a Christmas miracle.
