Hello, Larry and Deborah here; we have been in a battle for our lives since 2001, after horrendous financial and real estate crime struck us, instantly, sending us into the streets, destroying our business, and causing us to lose five of our precious dogs…our family. Thank God we had "The Bu" as long as we did with us; he was our road warrior through it all until July 2017. Since, he has taken the Rainbow Bridge;>((( Our hearts are broken, but know one day we'll be re-united with all our poops:>)))
Just not now, we aren't ready, we have so much more to give in this life.
However, we have no human family, because my family is representative of a number of authorities, and professionals in this country, who in greed embezzled and stole from us; Larry’s family has jumped on board now with financial crime too.
The authorities do nothing!
As long time business owners, with no employee experiences since the teenage years, and now considered elderly, it isn’t easy to get employed, but we’ve done it somehow by never giving up and taking less than perfect jobs that pay very little. It just takes five times as long as it would for most younger people. I say five times because since last December we’ve had one decent employment position lasting only for the summer, the other four have turned out to be scams, presented as totally respectable. With no financial foundation, or as my mother used to say, “no cushion” each employment detour causes a disaster in our lives; these are normal life occurrences that happen to us all, while one merely takes another route; for us however it’s into the streets we go after each regroup:>((
Today it’s Christmas 2017; we have no food, no shelter at all starting tomorrow night, and with this we’re losing our car full of our belongings including our computer.
We are on our fourth month of not making our car payment, my Social Security, which we normally use to pay three bills; car, phone and storage, has been instead used to stay in cheap motels, while we’ve had to beg churches, charities and social services to help. We even had a priest put us up in a motel promising to keep us housed until Larry, at the time, got paid. We were so grateful, I was in tears of joy! My Larry was so grateful as well, but just more calm about it:>)))
Then the priest apparently changed his mind, had us evicted from our motel room, we landed in our car to live for six months; Larry lost the great paying job.
Yep, this is an example of going to a church these days, they don’t help, but often make things worse! In fact, just recently we encountered another church who committed to helping us, and then pulled the rug out from under. More financial crime against the public ladies and gentlemen. Where do you think your donations are going?
These churches, charities or social services pay for maybe a night here and another night there. The rest of the time we’re in the car to sleep and it’s been 30 degrees at night.
We have about eight different employment opportunities coming up, after January 1st , which supply a home and great salary for both Larry and myself; we have a viable, once flourishing, fashion/furniture business we could relaunch if we can obtain an investor; until just one of these opportunities comes to light we are without food, (government canceled our EBT Card), no shelter starting tomorrow, and could very well lose our car, unless we can get a little more help...from you.
Losing the car is our worst threat; it’s full of everything we own and need; without a car we can’t very well take the employment offered; without shelter, once we get employed but must wait for a paycheck, we lose the employment if we’re living in our car; we know, it’s happened like this for us twice.
It’s a vicious cycle.
We’re seeking $1,500.00; enough to pay just one car payment and keep us with a roof over our heads until we obtain one of these positions.
