The Snuffy Jenkins Festival is an annual bluegrass and acoustic music festival, held in Forest City, NC, produced by the Rutherford County Arts Council.  The mission of Snuffy Jenkins Festival is to preserve, celebrate, and support the continued development of our local and regional musical tradition, and to honor the legacy of Rutherford County's own, Dewitt "Snuffy" Jenkins, an iconic and much-loved entertainer and innovative banjo player. The festival showcases the best in local and regional bands, with an emphasis on bluegrass music and its close relatives in the acoustic music tradition.  

Snuffy Jenkins Festival is a non-profit, grass roots effort and relies primarily on fund-raising to preserve and grow the festival year to year.  Snuffy Jenkins Festival is engaged in a final push for funds to expand its marketing/PR efforts in the final four weeks leading up to this year's festival.  We're seeking funds to cover the cost of targeted internet, tv, and newspaper advertising covering a wider area and audience, as well as the production of merchandise such as T-shirts and stickers.
