Too many responsible breeders who want to keep their pups out of the shelter/ rescue system are being denied the ability to enforce their contract with their puppy buyers. We want to help make a legal stand.  In this case, a 3 year old female Czechoslovakian Vlcak, is currently being held by a rescue that refuses to honor the breeder and my claim as her rightful owners.  The breeder has a contract signed by my friend that states that the breeder has first right to find an appropriate home for this dog should owner relinquish ownership. We are raising funds to legally enforce the return of this dog to her breeder.

In 2011, I tried to help my friend, "Mary", acquire a puppy to be trained as a service animal. I purchased this pup from a terrific breeder after Mary signed a contract with the breeder, and helped Mary with training her. I even handled the pup to her UKC championship.

A couple of months ago, it was discovered through independent searches that the dog had been surrendered to a rescue.  The rescue was contacted as soon as we found out that the dog had been released in an attempt to work together to find her a new home. However, negotiations with the rescue has proven to be unsuccessful. At this point, we are left with no other alternative but to bring this issue to the courtroom to ensure that a breeder contract is binding.

Please help us set this precedence so that future breeders who want to be responsible and ensure that their animals have a good home have the ability to enforce their contracts.  All donations are going towards the legal fees to fight for this dog. An attorney that specializes in animal law has agreed to take this case, and legal fees are estimated to be in the $10,000 range, so all donations, no matter how small are highly appreciated.
