LifeGen.de was established in 2001 as a private follow up of the state granted portal Lifescience.de, which CEO Vlad Georgescu and Marita Vollborn lead as editorial directors in 2000. LifeGen.de became one of the powerful online platforms in Europe with a high impact on the social media sector. LifeGen.de counted in 2009 more than 300,000 unique users. Our articles and reports have been read by members of the German Bundestag, by domestic or foreign governmental, financial and economic institutions and companies as well as by universities, scientific and medical associations. Almost 10.000 articles can be found on Germany’s biggest economic databank GENIOS.

Among the reports published are articles about the birth control pill YASMIN, reports on the contamination with avian flu viruses by the U.S. company Baxter and background reports on the possible carcinogenic effects of BP's oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. We coverd the debt crisis in the UE and Germany, and wrote about the risks resulting from Fukushima. LifeGen.de focused on risk analysis and political forecasts.

Given these facts, we are not sponsored by governments or companies.
