Due to illness and autism in the family we are now about to lose our home unless we pay 5000 Euro (half the amount of our total debt) in two weeks.

We are a family of five. Me and my husband have three amazing boys and we have lived in our home for almost thirteen years. Unfortunately I have been ill for many years now and was forced to put my university eductaion on hold after being a student for five years. The doctors have yet to find a working treatment. I am currently on antibiotics and will be for at east two more months to see if that can have an effect on my condition.

For these health reasons I left the responsibility for our finances to my husband. Turns out my husband suffers from cognitive disability. Before I noticed what was going on he managed to put our family pretty deep in debt.

Since then I have taken over the financial responsibility again and I have been  making sure that the money we owe are getting payed - starting with my husbands part. I have worked the few days that I am able and we have had a monthly payment to the enforcement authority that have worked well.

This summer I was granted a smaller monthly payment from the state to look after my autistic son. I called the enforcement authority hoping to start a monthly payment for my part of the debt but was told that they couldn't do that because my income was too low. They would instead increase the monthly payment on my husbands debt because he is working full time. I asked repeatedly if this was all I needed to do and was repeatedly told "Yes".

This morning they called me and said that because I now have an income they have to open a separate file for me. They also said that because my income is too low for a payment plan they are going to have to take our house. I managed to get a two week respite but after those two weeks I will have to pay or they take the house.

As I mentioned we also have an autistic son. He has panic reactions to changes. He was devestaded when we changed the wallpaper in the kitchen and would not be able to handle a move well at all. Losing our home would be absolutely devastating to him.

I am aware that I am asking way too much here and I do not expect to reach my goal but at this point anything would help. If I can put in some of the money maybe I can buy us some more time. We were so close to get through this financial situation. We are almost there. There is just no way for me to solve this in two weeks.

Even if I don't reach the goal any sum would be greatly appreciated.

Love / Tess
