We are employees of an animal hospital where the Veterinarian houses several rescue animals. Our 83 year veterinarian had a small heart attack a week prior and will be undergoing a triple by-pass heart surgery. Meanwhile, these dogs have nowhere to go other than to a neighborhing vet to be euthanized. Our staff has invested many hours into these animals and it would be heartbreaking to all of us at King Blvd. Animal Hospital if they wereto be euthanized.

We have Blu, who is an Australian Shepherd Mix. He was rescued off of the side of Martin Luther King Blvd about a year ago. Blu was left for dead but thankfully, Jane Lewis picked him up and brought him over to our hospital where Dr. Wilson and staff nursed him back to health. When he was brought in, he was so badly emaciated that you can see his ribcage. Today, Blu is a happy healthy dog who just needs a chance at a happy life in a home.

***UPDATE*** Blu, has been placed into a home. Only Pixie and Jack are available for adoption.

Pixie is a 1 year old Pit Bull mix. One of our loyal clients saw Pixie roaming around near the bayou. Pixie has since been with us at the hospital. She is a very sweet girl and absolutely loves attention.

Jack was found by a previous staff member tied to a tree in front of our hospital. Of course we took him in. He is a sweetheart and is great with other dogs. He is very food motivated and loves to make people proud. Jack is also a Pit Bull mix.

All of our dogs are heartworm negative and are current on heartworm prevention. They are all UTD on vaccines. As of now, Blu is the only one that is fixed. Jack and Pixie will be fixed prior to adoption.
