"Hey, let's put on a show." Sounded like a good idea at the time but 100 hats, 24 models, photographers, videographers, graphic designer..... and (sad horn) 24 seats sold, it doesn't seem like such a great idea.

All of those creatives (and more) ...
Scene: a theater buzzing with activity.
13 Milliners (that's the people who make the hats)
24 Models
Nationally Recognizable Emcee
5 Stylists
2 Videographers
2 Photographers
Stage Manager
Almost 100 Hats

(sad horn sound) and 25 people in the audience.

Yes, we had the troubles of a ska band. More people on stage than in the audience. Despite a popular venue, hundreds of press releases, a magazine article and a tv interview, no one came.

Now go back to the above list and think about what that means. All of these brilliant people need to be paid, and we, the milliners, have already put every dime we have into creating over 100 hats and getting to the venue from all over the United States.

It is difficult to describe how much pain it causes me to beg patience from these people, but I have promised them that they will get what they were promised. And that's a lot of money.

Otherwise, the show was a great success. The milliners got gorgeous photos, we did have loads of press, someday soon there will be a video of the whole thing. I met 12 people that I have known for years but have never met, and that experience was wonderful.

But now there is this big looming question. What do we do? We have dug into our pockets, we're opening a team store with donated hats and supplies,

I am asking for your help. You, out there in the internet wilderness, yes you, please look into your hearts and help us pay the people who helped us put the hats on stage that we sweat blood for. Maybe you know us. Maybe you know one of the milliners and you are proud of what she accomplished (because it was a tremendous accomplishment). Maybe you know a model who needs to make rent. Maybe you don't know us at all.

It doesn't matter. Just please, please help us be honorable to the people who made our beautiful show.
