Layla suffers from Apert Syndrom. She has undergone multiple MAJOR surgeries, long hospital stays, extremely expensive medication, & has another major surgery on her head coming soon.
Make a donation today that will go directly to Brian & Lisa Shook to help pay for Layla's medical bills & other needs!
A benefit concert is also being held for Layla on Fri. Jan. 11th in Ringgold, GA. Event link:> http://www.facebook.com/events/506980022675412/
BELOW IS THE FULL STORY OF LAYLA:
Layla was born November 28, 2011 like any other parents we were ecstatic. The doctors informed us that Layla was born with Apert Syndrome.(skull is fused at birth, small airway, webbed hands and feet) Layla has been through 16 surgeries including a skull reconstruction.
She is the strongest person we know! She is scheduled for another skull reconstruction in January, followed by several other surgeries. Because of Layla's situation I had to leave my job to become her full time caregiver. She has 8 doctors so we stay busy.
We are so blessed with friends and family who are coming together to help with her benefit concert. We are excited to share our princess with everyone!
