Revive Faith Church hasn't added a story.
What a first year it has been for Revive! This year we all faced decisions and challenges that none of us were prepared for. No matter your circumstance, each of us felt the effects of this global pandemic and were given the opportunity to learn new things and pivot in ways that we never thought we would ever have to. Like many of you, Revive embraced those pivot points with everything we had and began to ask and dream about what success looks like for us.
As a young and vulnerable new faith community, it would have been easy for us to hold back and wait for this season to blow over. I am so glad that we did not. The Revive team took this challenge of being a digital community by force and developed a community in a season when we could not gather. We also found creative ways to be good news to those around us who the pandemic was having a disproportionate and damaging effect on.
In this season, we began to have weekly online community groups and decided to build and begin using the Revive Mobile Resource Center, also known as The RMRC. Over the past 12 months, God began to connect the Revive community with other community leaders who were very aware of specific areas experiencing food and resource disparities. As a result, we have taken 17,000 food items to local elementary schools and senior living communities. We want to expand our reach into the community, and to do that; we must grow the Revive infrastructure.
