Short Summary

My name is Anna Butler. 20 years ago, my pelvis was broken during childbirth. I spent years following doctors orders and it almost destroyed my family. Then, I found cannabis and it changed our lives. My husband, Brian, runs a $4 million dollar a year restaurant and will be very helpful in getting the café up and running and will be bringing all of his expertise to the venture. Our son, Gavin, has been working with me since he was 9 years old. He was my assistant when we brought an amazing product to market in 2018 when the Farm Bill legalized CBD products. We have been working to perfect our products and had two stores. He began running one store at 15, became a manager at 17, and will bring a wealth of technical and personal experience in this industry. Unfortunately because Tennessee refuses to get with the times and create a path to legal cannabis, we had to close them. After taking some time to evaluate, we formed The Butler Group, It is a family run organization.  We are looking to bring the infusion coffee shop to the United States. It will be 21 and up. We will have both items that are not infused and infused products. We will have regular, gluten free, dairy free, keto options, and more. First, we will begin with all of those regular coffee shop drinks along with bagels, muffins, and cookies. We will offer baked goods in packaging as well for sale. Then, we can expand and add protein shakes, boba tea, etc We can infused with cannabis, kava, mad honey, kratom, and more. 

What We Need & What You Get

We are seeking $250,000 for 25% of the first café with franchise. Investments will be divided by percentage points. We plan to present this as a franchise opportunity and to always move forward with this in mind. We will use it to open the first location which will be in Memphis, TN. There are very few stores like this all over the country so it is difficult to make projections. However, there is a restaurant like this in Nashville, TN. They have had a line out of the door since they opened and are working on opening their third location in a matter of a few years. 

Roughly, we have budgeted: $20,000 for the space, $5,000 for advertising, $20,000 for employees, $20,000 stock for kitchen, $45,000 remodeling space and equipment, $5,000 for signage, and $5,000 for decor. We will also need to trademark and patent our special CBD BBQ Sauce (because we're in Memphis!) It is completely unlike anything else on the market! 

The Impact

In our stores, we would have people come in almost every day wanting to get off of pharmaceuticals. The push to natural medicine cannot be denied these days. The herbal medicine market has shown a growth of 44% in recent years and it is not slowing down. We will have dosed and undosed items so if friends want to join their buddies but have regular coffee or pastries, they can! We can infuse with a variety of healthy items including but not limited to kava (for relaxation), kratom and cannabis (for pain, anxiety, and more), mad honey (for relaxation and daily balance), maca root, ginseng, mushrooms like chaga and ashwaganda for health and balance, and so much more! We can expand across the U.S. and bring healthy drinks and goodies all over!

Risks & Challenges

Obviously cannabis has some challenges in our world today but they are becoming less each day. We have decided to call this an infusion lounge to get around many of those rules. However, with the 2018 passing of the Farm Bill and because of the language in it, they have trouble banning edibles products. Therefore, we have decided to lean into this because it will help us avoid many of those pitfalls. We will be a novelty infusion coffee shop. This will also allow us to be able to infuse a variety of items and it will give us room to grow in the future as well.
