35 Weeks running

When I was around 8 years old, my mother, Arlene, taught me how to crochet. It was great because I had two older brothers and my mom finally had a little girl she could spend time with and share projects with. My mom made TONS of blankets for her children, her family and friends and eventually her grand children. Even though I am only 30 and don't have any kids of my own, I still share the gift of crochet that she gave me by sharing blankets and scarves with my own friends and family.

It has been almost 12 years since my mother passed away and the strongest memory I have of her is the warm crocheted blankets I keep around my house (I must have at least 6) and since I don't have a family of my own to share them with, I do still have the urge to share. I  am asking for  help  in funding for the purchase of yarn and other materials so that I can make blankets, scarves, hats and anything else for people in the greater Montreal area who need help during the cold winter. 100% of the proceeds will go towards the purchase of materials and all items created from these materials will go to reliable, charitable organizations throughout Montreal. The materials used will be 100% ethical and cruelty free with entirely synthetic materials.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated and my goal is to make a new blanket/scarf/warm item of clothing every few weeks. They will be of varying sizes, themes, and gender neutral. I would also be glad to share in this project with anyone who is interested and willing to help. Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions.
