My name is Sherry Martin and I am working to put together a community meal that is free and open to the public on Thanksgiving Day.

Years ago, my Great Uncle, Paul Baker, started a community event to give people a place to go for the holiday. He had compassion for the folks who didn't have any family to be with for the holiday and the Miami University students who weren't able to go home for the break.

This event will be held at the Oxford United Methodist Church on Thursday, November 22, 2018, between 1 pm and 4 pm. We're hoping to have most of the food and resources donated,  but will also accept monetary donations through this site.

Any donations will be used strictly to purchase food for the event with the anticipation that it will be used/eaten at the event. Any leftover food that is unopened will be donated to the Oxford Community Choice Pantry and any leftovers that are open/cooked will be packaged and sent home with attendees of the event and/or delivered to folks who were not able to make it to the event. Either way, all food will go to the people who need it!
