Hi! My name is Ragna, and I'm 34 years old. I live in California, and for the last few months I've been trying to get a poroblem with my back taken care of so that I can get back to working again. Unfortunately, because of my being on Medical, there are long gaps between when I can get something requested by my doctor, when my insurance will approve it and when I can get seen, so the process is taking a very long time.

I have been quite fortunate to have friends help me for the last few months with supplementing the temporary disability payments I receive to make my ends meet. I currently live with my mother and we are desperately trying to hold onto our one bedroom apartment because at the moment we are trying to get my twelve-year-old son out of foster care. We are very close to acheiving this goal, but if we can't keep the apartment and pay the necessary bills and have food in the house we may not be able to acheive this goal.

At the end of August my current round of disability will expire, and then it will be time to renew it again. I'm not sure how it's going to work this time as I might have a neurosurgeon instead of my primary care physcician, but I'm not sure. Unfortunately, if care for the problem continues past January 31st, 2016 (which could happen at the rate treatment and diagnosis is taking) my temporary disability will run out completely and matters will be further complicated.
