Platon Malakhov hasn't added a story.
“... this pandemic is killing people of Peru, endangered by the government system itself that isolates and disempowers Peruvian citizens. Those of us who are most affected are the indigenous people... It hurts my soul to not be able to return even now to Pucallpa to be able to visit my mother's grave. Every day it gets more complicated because I don't have a job no money to care for my family... me and my wife and my 13 year old son have been infected. We had the worst time practically returning almost from death..."
Cesar Soimetsa (16th of June 2020)
This is a state of Global Emergency, folks, and some places on this planet have crossed the borderline. Peruvian jungle being one of them. While the citizens of First World are navigating through relatively mild pandemic crisis, our counterparts in the Third World are not coping so well due to the fact that majority were already living in destitute poverty long before the crisis. Peru has been impoverished by colonial imperialism ever since Francisco Pizarro has set foot on this amazingly rich with history and tradition soil of previously ‘unexplored’ (read: non-violated & non-ransacked) continent with his band of first-rate killers and marauders over 500 years ago, and not much has changed in the way indigenous people are treated today.
They live close to the land and are a part and parcel of it. Their tolerance is practically infinite because of having grown accustomed to continuous subjugation and rape for profit that has been taking place generation after generation. I’m weighing my words very carefully to reflect the essence of ongoing extermination of indigenous cultures by proxy; we owe these guys and now is the last opportunity to give some crumbs back before life force does the about turn: we are interdependent with Mother Nature and it is the native people who maintain close relationship with the Land.
We don’t, not in the ‘developed’ world. Our ‘development’ is spilling fast over the edge, as reflected in Peruvian government’s decree, by which police and military officials have been given powers to arrest and imprison anyone breaking the curfew, and to shoot anyone who resists. Oh yes, there are curfews and jail riots and corpses on the streets. It has been made official, therefore, that anyone caught spreading 'fake news' concerning the pandemic and the resulting lockdown can be incarcerated for 6 YEARS as an extreme deterrent for anyone who shows resistance to the government and what they regard as acceptable rhetoric regarding this crisis. It’s total chaos, in other words. There’s no government relief in Peru for the vast majority of human beings trapped in hovels and concrete boxes for months on end as their health and vitality deteriorate.
This crisis may indeed be the divine work of Nature, creating conditions in which nature itself can flourish and creating an opportunity for spiritual growth... the sad reality is that many of the people and cultures that have facilitated this spiritual growth for Western world, by sharing their knowledge and traditional healing practices, are experiencing serious deprivation and are at risk of losing their lives as well as their livelihoods.
I’m asking you to support a core group of healers, Soi Metsa Curanderos of Irapai, whom I know intimately to be true Maestros and Teachers that heedlessly serve local people, regardless whether or not they are getting paid as they are working on behalf of all sentient beings to heal our planetary energy field through Light of Compassion. Their big heart is the reason why they have no healing centre to speak of, living among hovels on the edge of Pucallpa’s swamplands, next-door to a sawmill where a rugged outfit covered in grease and sawdust bangs out a meagre living from dawn till dusk. I photographed five-year olds hammering kamo-kamo boxes all day long for export so that you could order it on Amazon (ironic branding, isn’t it?) as a super-food supplement to boost your health and immunity. In contrast, local populace here exists beyond the borderline of poverty living hand-to-mouth from day to day without basic waste removal and sanitary services to speak of. If you haven’t seen industrial sprawl of a jungle city, it is not a pleasant sight to behold. Breaks your heart. Sometimes you can’t tell where living quarters end and rubbish dump begins – the boundaries don’t exist. Terrence McKenna has written back in the nineties:
the apocalypse is not something which is coming. The apocalypse has arrived in major portions of the planet and it's only because we live within a bubble of incredible privilege and social insulation that we still have the luxury of anticipating the apocalypse. If you go to Bosnia or Somalia or Peru or much of the third-world then it appears that the apocalypse has already arrived.
It became much worse in the last three decades, due to insatiable demand for natural resources, minerals, oil, food produce that encourages destruction of pristine jungle environment for planting utility crops; we are basically wiping our arse with the living rainforest while suffering from pulmonary arrest due to the virus which we are not able to resist having weakened our immune system by isolating ourselves from the rest of Nature and concurrently destroying the very forest that regenerates oxygen in the atmosphere. The only thing we can apparently do is shit ourselves from fear and confusion and that’s why we need all that toilet paper provided for by the eucalyptus plantations… it’s a vicious cycle.
We live in desperate times on the edge of a precipice
Our only hope is the light of understanding transmitted through enlightened teachers and healers who are capable of transformative alchemy. If we lose sight of these techniques under great pressure, only a disastrous explosion can follow. We must cease holding onto accumulated wealth as money is also a form of energy. There are people who desperately need sustenance right now and the only factor that stops help from arriving is ignorance of the problem. There is plenty of zeros sitting in the bank accounts doing virtually nothing apart from adding more zeros as time goes by; I trust that those who have followed this far into this plea have intelligence and heart aplenty to understand the logic. If you don’t have fifty bucks to spare, you surely can spare a tenner. Saving indigenous people is by far the best investment one can make these days. Peruvian government is fairly corrupt and makes no effort to alleviate the suffering. On the contrary, their policies are the cause of this insanity in the first place. I have done plenty of research to back up what I am saying. The gist of it, however, is that the fate of the planet is pretty much in our hands. Always was. Rise up and shine, folks! If you do, you'll be laughing all the way to the bank.
In return, you get most heart-felt blessings… it’s embarrassing, really, that the world has come to this sorry state... but what to do? Three people have died in Soi Metsa family that I know of so far. A change of tide must start somewhere. We live in fake economy, developed world having cleverly subjugated poor nations through cunningness and corruption, when our highly worshipped currency is printed arbitrary whenever global magnates and tycoons deem so necessary; in addition, it is soaking in blood. This is a rebellion of heart, however. If it resonates on some level, pass it around as an antidote to the killing game of numbers. You are the change of tide manifest in the flesh. There’s nobody else. Embrace it!
My name is Platon Malakhov, or Ronin Koshi among Shipibo. I am a Russian-born freelance filmmaker and photographer from Aotearoa who has come to Pucallpa for the first time in 2006 looking for deep healing and tools of inner transformation which I had heard were retained by indigenous practitioners. I’ve gone away from well-trodden tourist paths to discover Ashanika’s villages, I visited Katukina and Kachinawa tribes half-way between Peru and Brazil, trail-blazed in Cordilleras, seeing everywhere appalling strife, poverty and hardships among indigenous people.
As of recently I have been apprenticing from Maestro Cesar Maynas Bardales Soimetsa of Irapai, who is currently trapped in Lima and is neither able to travel to Cusco where his father has been confined in a hospital nor go to the grave of his recently deceased mother in Pucallpa because there’s no public transport (or private transport, for that matter) travelling between cities during lockdown. It’s not a sponsored vacation for them as it is for us kiwis in New Zealand: they are long past the point of throwing into the towel.
They money are needed to meet basic living costs and to make possible attendance of penniless patients that suffer both physical and mental impacts of unrelenting lockdown. Any extras left after buying food and herbal remedies will go towards construction of basic facilities on the land to accommodate family members and patients. You never know, one day you maybe the visitor there, complaining of depression or growing a tumour, and it would be nice to have a toilet block finished and a guest room enclosed with the mesh to stop mosquitoes feasting on fresh blood at the expense of the guest. Wouldn't it?
At the time of writing this I am living as frugally as possible in rural New Zealand, preferring to build from recycled rubbish if I can and eat from the garden instead of getting a job and a mortgage and having no time for growing food or apprenticing ancestral knowledge... albeit my heart is tearing itself apart to be in Peru half the time.
My beloved wife died from cancer last year and I was left with two kids and a choice between becoming enlightened and transcending the pain or burning in fires of hell for the rest of my days on this Earth from enormous weight of grief and guilt of not being able to save Ekaterina. Putting this page together is a by-product of this journey towards Light. Inexplicably I have gathered many threads of narrative in my hands tying intricate web of revelations and sharing them here is a huge privilege which makes me humble and proud at the same time.
Soimetsa Curanderos are not just some local healers that are helping people in desperate times when hospitals are impotent to do anything, they have much greater concerns. Allopathic medicine has always dealt with symptoms of the disease, not the root cause of it. In spite of huge scientific and technological advances in medical science, humanity at large is sicker than ever – it is reflected in the state of the world and is self-evident. We are destroying our environment and ourselves at suicidal rate. Global suicide is taking place right now and we simply avoid naming it for what it is for the sake of our sanity… ‘sanity’ is probably not the right word, because chanting 'I’m still good' mantra while standing in the middle of the railway tracks never saved anyone from getting hit by the train. We are seriously, dangerously sick as species.
Soimetsa are a node in the indigenous network of Light Workers connected with universal intelligence that advises them on the planetary state of affairs directly, without any need for newspapers or media broadcast. This is neither a fairy tale nor science fiction; without going into a study of enlightened masters and techniques employed by them, I can say that it is the ancestral transmission of knowledge that makes it possible. It is the curandero’s primary concern to deal with malignant energy fields, cleansing and fine-tuning these though singing icaros. And boy, do they work! I had thought I was spitting my teeth out several times while purging my guts of vile gunk in the process of being cleansed of negative energies inside out. It may be called Light Work but in reality it induces states of mortal sickness as one comes close to conscious death and you have to stay conscious. That’s the deal. Unless you can approach death consciously, there’s no understanding what life is all about. And you can’t pay enough for what these legendary maestros are doing on a daily basis as there’s nothing of equal value that western world has to offer.
Hence, healing if free. And it’s beautiful. Icaros is a form of vibrational therapy employed throughout the ages by all enlightened cultures who realised that Universe is Music sung into creation. I invite Albert Einstein, one of the most intelligent and celebrated people produced in the twentieth century, to bear witness: “We are slowed down sound and light waves, a walking bundle of frequencies tuned into the cosmos. We are souls dressed up in sacred biochemical garments and our bodies are the instruments through which our souls play their music.” If you put this notion together with Terrence McKenna rhetoric, it will be a case in point:
“Through integrative sciences like ecology and animal behaviour and psychology we have re-understood what was forgotten during the reduction centuries of modern science. We’ve re-understood that the world is one thing, and it’s a living thing. It’s a thing with an intent and a spirit within it, and this is the key concept.”
Given the amount of negativity and horror being released into the world on a daily basis, it should be obvious that anybody who is connected with planetary consciousness will suffer consequences of this. If you are not connected, there’s no problem. This is another reason why indigenous people are affected so badly by a global crisis. Closer you are to the earth, more you feel its pain. We are One, make no mistake about it. Which also dictates that you are not giving your money to some Joe Blogs: you are giving it to yourself. Curanderos understand that. Therefore they don’t accumulate anything. Instead they throw all spoils back into the flow so that the flow may nourish a friend downstream and bring around fresh news. That’s how Nature works. Ask Shipibo. Ask Ashaninka. Ask Mamas of Kogi people, many of whom are raised in darkness for their formative years to learn to connect with this cosmic consciousness. Unlike us, who hold onto to things of no intrinsic value, junk and expensive trinkets, and thereby get disconnected from the flow of life. This is what makes us hollow. We lose sense of value. We don’t know what real treasure is. We forget that nothing of value can be bought. It takes witnessing a tragedy to understand that, so just take my word for it. My life is replete with tragedies, I am expert in this field – great for learning, if it doesn’t kill you.
$ 6,000 goal of this campaign is just an arbitrary number. It’s a drop in the ocean as far as Pucallpa is concerned. Yet, it will keep already truncated Soimetsa family tree afloat for the time being and allow their work to continue. Any financial assistance above and beyond will find its way to resuscitate indigenous affairs that are currently in a state of coma. In return you shall receive heart-felt blessings that will nourish your soul and infuse your day with aroma of gratitude from the land of wild monkeys and pythons and jaguars where mangoes bombard thatched roofs in the middle of the night with a cannonade of sweet fruit. Anything I can promise you will fall short of the mystery of exchange on offer.
The platform asks you for a voluntary contribution with your donation. YOU DON'T HAVE TO MAKE IT in order to donate. I just want to make this clear as some people won't notice the added digits in the corner of the screen, bottom right, with an optional tick in the little box. Watch out.
I’d like to share few media resources and links that will enable you to get a feel of the ambience in Pucallpa region, as well connect with members of Soimetsa healing circle.
Here is a video sketch made from footage taken at Irapai and around Pucallpa in 2018 when I came looking for breast cancer remedy for my beloved wife: Felipe's Icaro The soundtrack is an icaro sung by Don Felipe, one of the resident healers.

Thank you so much for paying attention. Please spread this petition like fire, if you have caught a spark from it. I’d like to see faces light up and people step forward to dance with us. Money help, but it’s not about the money – we all know that by now. Thank you!
I urge you to get in touch with us, ask questions, CONTRIBUTE YOUR COMMENTARY because people at large still have NO IDEA what is happening in reality and it is CRUCIAL we develop consensus of awareness regarding planetary health and well-being of all sentient species. These are big words but I remain a small man in the hands of high authority which is LOVE. I would really, really appreciate YOU DONATING YOUR INTELLIGENCE and YOUR VOICE here, now. THANK YOU!!!
